Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using What Does This Say?, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. What the service does

What Does This Say? uses artificial intelligence to analyze foreign-language documents and provide a plain-language explanation, an urgency assessment, suggested next steps, and a draft reply. The service is designed to help people living abroad quickly understand official correspondence.

3. Accuracy and limitations

The analysis provided by this service is generated by an AI model and may contain errors, omissions, or misinterpretations. The service does NOT provide certified legal translations and does NOT constitute legal advice. You are responsible for verifying any information that affects legal, financial, or personal decisions. For official matters — immigration, tax, legal proceedings, contracts — we strongly recommend consulting a certified translator or a qualified professional. The service is intended to help you decide whether you need one, not to replace one.

4. Privacy and data

We do not store your uploaded documents or the analysis results on our servers. Documents are processed in memory to generate your explanation and are not retained after your session ends. You are responsible for downloading any report you wish to keep. We do store your account email, preferred language, and usage count — nothing more.

5. Account and fair use

You receive one free document analysis when you sign up. After that, a one-time payment of $27 grants full access, subject to a fair-use limit of 100 documents per month. We reserve the right to prevent abuse, including blocking disposable email addresses and limiting multiple accounts from the same address.

6. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the analysis will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your specific situation.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, What Does This Say? shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of, or reliance on, the analysis provided by the service.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
